With Futurebuild partnering with the Supply Chain Sustainability School this year, sustainability and green infrastructure are continuing to be a key topic.  Which is why GRO are delighted to announce that, after the incredible success of the GRO Pavilion over the past 2 years, Futurebuild 2025 on the 4th-6th March will see a return of the bustling hub.  GRO Pavilion 2025 (stand F78) will be occupied by member companies Geoshield, LRWA (Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association), Optigrun, Ravago, SIKA, and Wraxalls.  It will offer a central point for all looking to learn more about green, blue and BioSolar roofing.

Last year, GRO also hosted several successful panel discussions, seminars and workshops and are delighted to introduce the panels and topics arranged for this year:

  • Delivering Water Management and Resilience with Blue Roofs
    Tuesday 4th March, 2.30pm-3.15pm
Panel chair Tom Young (Blue-Green Infrastructure Specialist at TEP and Nuffield Farming) will lead a discussion with industry experts Paul Saffer (CIWEM), and Patricia Cuervo (Binnies), on new blue roof guidance which has been developed by CIRIA in collaboration with GRO and wider industry partners.
  • How can Green Roofs Support Biodiversity Net Gain?
    Wednesday 5th March, 10.30am-11.15am
James Hewetson-Brown (Managing Director of Wildflower Turf), alongside Heather Rumble (UWE) and Rick Tomlinson (TEP), will examine how to maximise the contribution of green roofs to onsite BNG. They will respond to the question of how this can be developed to provide a cost-effective, genuine, long-term habitat to support nature’s recovery in cities.
  • How do we Integrate Nature-Based Solutions with Smart Cities?
    Thursday 6th March, 2.30pm-3.15pm
Matthew Hoddinott (Managing Director of Olyi) is chairing a panel with Blanche Cameron (Bartlett School of Architecture) and Matthew Jessop (Head of Landscape at WSP), who will identify where nature-based solutions and smart cities can work hand in hand.

The GRO Pavilion is looking to be a central point for the exhibition and, with a handful of months left, there is still plenty of time to book your tickets. There is also one last stand available on the GRO Pavilion.  Book your tickets for Futurebuild 2025 and contact admin@greenrooforganisation.org to learn more about The Green Roof Organisation or to book the last stand on the pavilion.
