Peacehaven – Frosts Landcape
Peacehaven is the largest grass roof of its kind in Britain sited near Brighton. The green roof project for Southern Water at its Waste Water Treatment Works is also probably one of the largest green roofs installed in Europe with a 200mm depth of substrate.

The team worked together to install green roofs on 20 play structures at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, to encourage people, after a year spent largely indoors, to reconnect with the incredible nature that surrounds them

Winner of thr NFRC Green Roofing Award 2021, the building is crowned with a living green roof, planted with native meadow species, which connects the facility to the local landscape.

As part of the regeneration programme within the bid for the 2012 Summer Olympics, the Olympic Village (now known as the multiple award-winning East Village), Extensive living green roofs were installed on much of the apartments, to provide a low maintenance and self-sustaining plant community. .

A BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rated structure features a 15-degree sloping roof, intensively planted to complement the ground planting featuring English hedgerow species, including hawthorn, holly and honeysuckle designed by renowned landscape architect Kim Wilkie. low maintenance and self-sustaining plant community.
